I am a writer, curator and self-taught artist. My art writing includes audio descriptions, grant applications, and exhibition responses, catalogue texts and reviews.
My Art History Masters thesis shed light on feminist and ecocritical art histories as applied to celestial art made by women through time. Considering the entanglement of the human and more-than-human on a cosmic scale was endlessly juicy. By looping in quantum physics and contemporary art, I sought to illuminate how uniquely capable the arts are for weaving new realities.
I am developing my curatorial practice by feeding it gallery time, Aotearoa NZ contemporary art histories, and ecofeminist research. As a curator, I am led by community, sensitivity and academic rigour. Care and quality first.
Creative New Zealand has selected me to be an attendant for the 2026 Venice Biennale; an experience I am looking forward to chronicling.
